We Clean We Green-Malawi

Led by Project Lead Pike Ng'oma, We Clean We Green-Malawi is an initiative that mobilizes the youth of Malawi against environmental degradation. Our mission is to empower young individuals through eco-friendly activities, enabling them to actively participate in environmental restoration and sustainable development. Key objectives are to revitalize damaged Malawian environments, educate youths on environmental stewardship, address climate change impacts, and support community resilience in areas such as food security, health, and education. Collaborating with various organizations, we aim to align with Sustainable Development Goals through projects like Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration, Sustainable Agroforestry, and Waste Management for Schools, funded by global partners including Cardano4Climate and Littlefish Foundation. Our waste management initiatives are supported by international entities, underscoring our commitment to a cleaner, greener Malawi.

Children Education in Biodiversity Conservation in Manica Province, Mozambique

Some of the people who are in Biodiversity Conservation started to fall in love when they were growing up, this is my particular case, so I think that if we could help our young brothers by letting them know more about biodiversity conservation and its role worldwide, climate changes for example would be useful for those who will work in Conservation in the future, they will start as early as possible and this will be wonderful for their achievements. Many of the world’s ecosystems have undergone significant degradation with negative impacts on biological diversity and peoples’ livelihoods, (Gann & Lamb 2006). These elements are critical to successful ecosystem management. Ecological restoration should:  Improve biodiversity conservation  Improve human livelihoods  Empower local people  Improve ecosystem productivity So by helping in Children Education it will also have a big impact in the process of restoration because we are going to have future leaders that are well educated about the biodiversity conservation. Extensive ecosystem restoration is increasingly seen as being central to conserving biodiversity and stabilizing the climate of the Earth. Although ambitious national and global targets have been set, global priority areas that account for spatial variation in benefits and costs have yet to be identified, (Strassburg et. al 2020).
